Sustainable development
As part of the Freightways Group, the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) framework becomes a lens through which positive change can be achieved.
Good Health and Wellbeing Goal 3
People lie at the heart of who we are. Relationships, expertise and hard work are integral to our ability to add value on a daily basis.
Our commitment to SDG3 reflects our intention to protect the health and well-being of those who work here and to minimise the adverse impacts our vehicles have in our communities.
Applying this SDG to how we plan ensures that we always carefully consider the human implications in the acquisitions we make and the actions and initiatives we undertake. Read more about SDG3
Decent Work and Economic Growth Goal 8
To be successful as a business and employer we need to foster an inclusive work environment while providing the services that meet the needs of our customers.
Success depends on building an environment where a diverse team of committed Kiwis can contribute, develop their skills and be paid fairly. Our business growth is fuelled by encouraging our team of professionals to consistently learn and develop. Read more about SDG8.
Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure Goal 9
We are focused on adding value for our customers at every opportunity.
Whether it is working to constantly improve our business, helping our customers improve their secure information management needs, or providing third party logistics services, we play an integral role in helping our customers work more efficiently, responsibly and profitably. Read more about SDG9.
Climate Action Goal 13. The secure paper destruction and recycling services give customers peace of mind that the paper they generate is being recycled to pulp and re-introduced to the paper manufacturing supply chain.

Being responsible corporate citizens

KidsCan Sponsorship
Freightways are proud to be major sponsors of KidsCan. We quickly discovered we shared similar philosophies around caring for and supporting whānau in our communities that may need help. 290,000 Kiwi kids live in hardship through no fault of their own. KidsCan helps Kiwi kids become more engaged in their education so they can have a better chance of reaching their full potential by providing food at school, raincoats, shoes and socks, and basic health items.
We are proud to support KidsCan. You can too. Donate here
Being a responsible employer
Safety: TIMG operates in an environment that contains a number of operational risks. The Freightways Risk Management policy seeks to actively manage risk to ensure all subsidiary companies operate a safe workplace. Risk is classed as any threat, lost opportunity or circumstance that could compromise the safety and security of our customers and employees and all management and staff are accountable to employ risk management processes within their area of control to aid in the achievement of business objectives. TIMG have created processes to ensure risk has been adequately identified, considered and can be managed and we are responsible for communicating and reporting risk information to the Freightways’ CEO and Chief Financial Officer as part of the performance reporting cycle.
Diversity: TIMG are part of the Freightways group of companies and as such we are regulated by the Freightways corporate governance processes.
